As we return to the office, please carefully read below to note some changes we have instituted to maintain social and physical distancing; protecting ourselves and all our Patients at the SF Wellness Center from the spread of COVID19:
Everyone will be wearing a mask, including YOU, even during treatment. Handmade or surgical mask are A-OK. Any mask with a vent (like the N95) is NOT acceptable (they allow for expiration of small droplets from the wearer) unless they are covered.
If you need a mask, please let me know prior to your appointment. I have 3 layer cotton masks for sale at the office for $15 or online for $20.
If you have recently traveled by plane or to any hotspot areas, please book your appointment for 2 weeks after your return date OR get a COVID-19 test upon your return. Negative test result means you can come in sooner.
If you have recently been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19, please quarantine and get tested ASAP. Please notify us to reschedule your appointment (rescheduling fees will be waived).
We ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment.
If you are part of the ‘at risk’ community, please do not book an appointment at this time. Please stay home and stay safe. We do not want you to risk contracting COVID19 on your way to/from our office.
If your temperature is over 100.4 the morning of your appointment, it will be rescheduled.
When entering the office, please take a moment to wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water. We will also have hand sanitizer throughout the office.
Please bring your own water bottle. We will not be able to provide tea or water. Consider hydrating well before you arrive.
For Acupuncture, please wear warm, loose fitting, moveable clothing (think pajamas) that will not require much removal. If you wear a bra, make sure to wear one that unhooks in the back, incase we are doing a face down treatment and cupping.
Do not bring anyone along. No one will be allowed to wait in the waiting room.
Limit the number of items you bring with you. Consider bringing only your cell phone, keys and wallet.
Personally, I choose to wash my hands and sanitize frequently, adhering to Clean Needle Technique Rules (established by CA Acupuncture Board and NCCAOM) and COVID19 standards. However, if you prefer that I wear gloves while providing treatment, I will have them available for use.
What to Expect
Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine are holistic methods of healing. Your first treatment is typically 15-30min longer than follow-up treatments to accommodate a full consultation, testing and diagnosis.
Acupuncture appointments always include about 15 minutes of intake (existing clients) to assess any changes. DURING COVID19 intake/Pre-Screening will take place virtually the morning of your appointment. Please allow time for this 15min (existing patients) / 30min (new patients) discussion.
For Acupuncture and Combination treatments, the room MAY be shared with another patient (separated by a divider). DUE TO SOCIAL DISTANCING- THIS WILL NO LONGER BE HAPPENING UNLESS YOU ARE QUARANTINE BUDDIES
Wear loose comfortable clothing (think Pajamas) for acupuncture, tui na, shiatsu, CranioSacral Therapy or sports massage. If you are unable or forget, sheets will be provided for your comfort.
You are always in control of your appointment. If you are ever uncomfortable or experience any pain, please let your practitioner know immediately.
Please eat a small meal before your appointment.
Do NOT drink coffee, alcohol or take any recreational drugs before your appointment. If your appointment is in the morning, please avoid excess drinking the night before.
Lotions/Oils are used for Swedish/Deep Tissue style bodywork. If you have any allergies, please let us know prior to your appointment.
If you wish to purchase any prescribed herbal formulas or patches, Essential Oils or CBD creams, they will be added to your treatment at additional cost. Herbs may be given to you at the clinic or sent to your home with instructions.
We do not fill any prescriptions of herbs from other clinics/practitioners
We have a 24hr cancellation policy. During COVID19 times, this is now waived if you are showing symptoms of infection during your pre-screen the morning of your appointment
$50 for first late-cancelled appointment
Subsequent late cancelled or missed appointments are charged the full fee.
If you have a treatment plan package and miss your appointments/late cancel, it will be deducted from your package.
If paying by credit card, it must be stored on file for further use or to ensure cancellation policy for future appointments. There is a 4% fee added to all Credit Card payments.
A confirmation email will be sent to you after booking your appointment. In this email is a link to complete onboarding and medical forms. These forms MUST BE COMPLETED/SIGNED before ANY treatment INCLUDING bodywork.
For New & Existing patients, you MUST sign COVID19 Consent Form and COVID19 Pre-Screen Questionnaire PRIOR to your appointment
If you are running late, please let us know ASAP. We will TRY to accommodate you as best we can. You are responsible for the cost of the full appointment.
Please do not wear any strong perfumes or colognes.
No sexual advances are ever tolerated. Appointments will be ended immediately.
If practitioner needs to cancel a same day appointment due to emergency or illness, you will receive $50 off your rescheduled appointment. WAVED during COVID19 if experiencing any sign of infection
Referrals are our best marketing. If you are happy with your treatment, please spread the word about INNERGATE. For every THREE clients you refer or if a referral purchases a package, you get 30min complimentary!
Payment is due at time of appointment. All forms of payment are accepted (Cash, Venmo, Cash App, Credit Card, FSA/HSA Card & Check)
A 4% service fee is added to credit card payments including HSA/FSA cards.
On street parking is most common, please allow extra time when driving to the clinic. There are two paid/metered parking lots nearby.
If you wish to book IN HOME or OFFICE treatments, you (the client) MUST provide massage table and table linens.
